The keyboard shortcut does nothing

Chrome may have left it unassigned if another extension uses the same keys. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts, or click Shortcuts… in Leyline’s panel, and set your own. The panel always shows the shortcuts you have set.

The icon shows a “!”

That page doesn’t allow extensions: browser pages like chrome://, the Chrome Web Store and some built-in viewers. Leyline works on any regular website, including localhost.

The stripes don’t line up with my layout

Pick the container again and watch the label next to the pointer. On a CSS grid it says “grid 12” (or however many columns it has). If it says “not a grid”, it also tells you which way the nearest grid is: press ↑ or ↓ until you reach it.

My design shows at the wrong size

Figma copies at 2x by default, so set the scale to 2x, or use Fit to match the page’s width. If the image includes a browser bar, crop it with Crop · Top.

Where are my designs?

On your device, in the extension’s own storage, one for each breakpoint of each site. Removing the extension deletes them.

Reporting a bug

Send what you did and what you saw, your Chrome version (chrome://version) and a screenshot. If the page is public, include its address.
